Hollywood ha ufficialmente aperto la sua award season. Le nomination dell'83ª edizione dei Golden Globes, i premi cinematografici e televisivi assegnati dalla stampa estera che anticipano di un paio di mesi la notte degli Oscar, sono state svelate lunedì 8 dicembre da Marlon Wayans e Skye P. Marshall.
Sul fronte cinematografico è Una battaglia dopo l’altra di Paul Thomas Anderson a guidare la lista di film con più candidature con un totale di nove nomination – tra cui miglior film e miglior regia – seguito da Sentimental Value di Joachim Trier e Sinners di Ryan Coogler. Mentre sul piccolo schermo è The White Lotus ad ottenere il maggior numero di nomination, attestandosi a quota sei, subito seguito da Adolescence con 5 candidature. Seguono a ruota Only Murders in the Building e Scissione, con quattro nomination ciascuno.
