Action-comedy is finally back in RuPaul’s Stop! That! Train! Produced by Bleeker Street and World of Wonder, the action-comedy stars RuPaul as President Gagwell. She faces a crisis when a catastrophic Stormaganza threatens to derail the high-speed train Glamazonian Express. With it being on its way to Los Angeles, there are plenty of famous actors on board that you might recognize.
The gagworthy cast of Stop! That! Train! of course includes the drag mother to end all mothers, RuPaul. But it also stars recognizable queens like Jujubee, Latrice Royale, and Ginger Minj. And on the Hollywood front, some stars make you pause and go, “Wait, what are they doing here?” Those iconic stars include Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lisa Rinna, and even Charo, who have all appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race.
While we’re going to break down some of the most recognizable faces and drag queens below, here are some of the other actors in this gagworthy action-comedy: Rachel Bloom, Miss Pyle, Chris Parnell, Natasha Leggero, J.P. Manoux, Evan Mulrooney, Brian Jordan Alvarez, Nicole Sullivan, Daniel Franzese, Matt Rogers, Nicole Richie, and Mayan Lopez.
RuPaul
If you don’t watch RuPaul’s Drag Race, there’s this misconception that RuPaul only does reality TV. But she’s been in everything from hit TV shows to drag comedies and even kids’ shows. She’s basically done it all, with Stop! That! Train! getting a major theatrical release on June 12, 2026, just being the next stepping stone in her career.
RuPaul has been in hit series like Netflix’s Grace and Frankie (2015), Comedy Central’s Broad City (2014), HBO Max’s The Comeback (2005), and even Ugly Betty (2006). But she’s also starred in multiple iconic drag movies like Starrbooty (2007) and To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (1995). RuPaul has also done coming-of-age stories like Netflix’s AJ and the Queen (2020) and But I’m a Cheerleader (2000).
Point being, while Stop! That! Train! Might be the next step in RuPaul’s acting career; she’s been making waves and trying her hand at everything for decades.
Michelle Visage
RuPaul’s right-hand woman for years has been Michelle Visage. So it makes sense that she would be in Stop! That! Train!. Before becoming known for everything Drag Race, Visage was part of the girl group Seduction, who charted on the Billboard Hot 100 multiple times. Since joining Drag Race in Season 3, she has stayed on as a permanent judge.
Visage has also been a Drag Race judge on spin-offs like RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars (2012), RuPaul’s Drag Race UK (2019), RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs the World (2022), and Drag Race Down Under (2021). She’s also been a producer on the show for years. Even though her primary work is on World of Wonder properties, she’s done small acting roles in Netflix’s Survival of the Thickest (2023) and CBS’ Beyond the Gates (2025).
Sarah Michelle Gellar
Sarah Michelle Gellar is, without a doubt, the most recognizable face in the Stop! That! Train!, besides RuPaul, of course. And though she needs no introduction in our book, there will be some who need it. Gellar is known for changing the face of badass women on TV with her portrayal of Buffy Summers in the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997). But she’s also known for classic ‘90s movies like Cruel Intentions (1997) and I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997).
But it doesn’t stop there, because Gellar hasn’t stopped being part of the cultural conversation as the years have gone by. In 2002, she played the iconic Daphne in Scooby-Doo, followed by a sequel in 2004, titled Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. And she tried her hand at horror again in the 2004 movie The Grudge and the 2006 sequel The Grudge 2. From then on, she’s been in a couple of shows that unfortunately got canceled, like Wolf Pack (2023) and Ringer (2011). But she still remains a badass to this day if her role in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (2026) as Ursula Danforth is any indication.
We’re hoping that her role in Stop! That! Train! isn’t so much a guest role, but one where she saves the train from crashing into LA. After all, she is the slayer.
Lisa Rinna
In 2026, Lisa Rinna might be known as reality TV royalty because of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (2010) or, most recently, The Traitors (2023). But there’s another reason why Rinna is iconic: daytime soaps. Rinna starred as Billie Reed in over 600 episodes of Days of Our Lives (1965) and over 60 episodes as Taylor McBride on Melrose Place (1992).
Rinna has also taken part in beloved TV series like Veronica Mars (2004) as Lynn Echolls. And when it comes to guest roles, she’s been in everything from Hannah Montana (2006) to Entourage (2004) and even Baywatch (1989). But when she’s not acting, you can see her being herself on entertainment news beats like Entertainment Weekly and Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen (2009).
Raven-Symoné
If you grew up in the 2000’s, Raven-Symoné is no stranger. She starred in the popular Disney series That’s So Raven (2003) as the teen psychic Raven. And in 2017, Disney revisited this world with the spin-off Raven’s Home. But even before visions, teen hijinks, and Disney spin-offs, Symoné was a well-known child actor.
Symoné had her breakout role as Olivia Kendall in the 1989 series The Cosby Show. And from there, she went on to act in everything from The Little Rascals (1994) to Doctor Dolittle (1998) and its sequel, Dr. Dolittle 2 (2001). What fans might not know about her, though, is that she’s done quite a bit of voice acting in the animated Tinkerbell (2008) movies and even Kim Possible (2002).
Her love of singing also left an impression on 2000’s kids in the form of Galleria Garibaldi in The Cheetah Girls (2004) and the sequel The Cheetah Girls 2 (2006). So here’s hoping that Stop! That! Train! gives us visions and singing. Because Symoné would be perfect.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson
When it comes to comedy, Jesse Tyler Ferguson starred in one of the biggest modern-day sitcoms. For over 200 episodes, he played Mitchell Pritchett in the star-studded ABC comedy Modern Family (2009). While this role has defined him as an actor, he’s tried his hand at films like Cocaine Bear (2023) and Ice Age: Collision Course (2016). And he’s also been in other shows like the audio series Gay Pride & Prejudice (2022) and the TV show Pete the Cat (2017).
As for the RuPaul connection, like Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lisa Rinna, Joel McHale, and Raven-Symoné, Ferguson has been a guest judge on Drag Race. But Ferguson starred in RuPaul’s “Glamazon” music video in 2012 alongside Michelle Visage. So maybe he knows how to tackle this Stormaganza?
Joel McHale
When it comes to Stop! That! Train!, the most surprising appearance in the trailer is Joel McHale in leather gear. But it shouldn’t be such a shock that he’s down to join the film since McHale has previously been a guest judge on Drag Race.
The comedian is best known for his work on shows like Community (2009) and DC’s Stargirl (2020). But for fans who have been with him since the early 2000s, he’s known for his work as the host of The Soup (2004), which he did over 300 episodes of. Back on the TV front, McHale has acted in popular shows like Yellowjackets (2021), The Bear (2022), and Will & Grace (1998).
The Drag Queens
RuPaul wasn’t going to take on such a huge undertaking in Stop! That! Train! without bringing some iconic drag queens with her.
In the trailer, we meet best friends Tess (Ginger Minj) and DeeDee (Jujubee). They’re train stewardesses who trade their shifts on the Stank Rail for the glitzy Glamazonian Express. When the Stormaganza danger begins, they have to join up with the snobby first-class attendants played by Brooke Lynn Hytes, Symone, and Marcia Marcia Marcia to save the day.
Other notable drag queens in the official trailer show Latrice Royale reading Rachel Bloom in what looks like the command center. And while there probably will be surprises when the movie hits theaters, here are all the queens we know to be in Stop! That! Train! so far:
Jujubee
Ginger Minj
Monét X Change
Symone
Brooke Lynn Hytes
Latrice Royale
Brock Hayhoe
