This guide will show you the best Jenna Ortega movies and shows, from Wednesday to Scream VI, and let you know where they’re all streaming online right now.

It’s crazy to think that Jenna Ortega didn’t really break out and become a massive star until 2022. In just a few years, she’s already skyrocketed to one of the biggest names in Hollywood and is starring in hit films and TV series. She’s also developed a bit of a reputation for the spooky and the weird since she regularly finds herself starring in horror movies. Check out our guide below to discover the best Jenna Ortega movies and TV shows, and where to stream them online using platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Max, and more!

Jenna Ortega first rose to prominence in 2014 at the age of 11 when she starred as young Jane in the hit comedy Jane the Virgin. The show centered around a religious young woman who vows to remain a virgin until marriage. But during a routine appointment, a doctor mixes her up with another patient and accidentally artificially inseminates her. The show was ultimately a comedy, but it also centered around themes of forgiveness, religious dogma, and making the most out of a bad situation. Ortega starred as a younger Jane during flashback scenes.

Next up, Ortega landed a role in the Disney Channel series Stuck in the Middle alongside Ariana Greenblatt. Ortega starred as Harley, a middle child who navigates life and school. In classic Disney Channel style, the show is aimed at younger viewers and is wholesome. Fans of her newer, more rated-R work might be surprised to learn that Ortega was originally a Disney Channel star.

Then came 2022… The year that changed everything for the actress. First up, she starred in the “requel” Scream (which is also sometimes called Scream 5). In the movie, Jenna Ortega is attacked by Ghostface and later finds out that it’s all because her half-sister is actually the daughter of Billy Loomis. The film was also notable for bringing back all three original stars – Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Courteney Cox. Ortega reprised her role the following year in Scream VI

Then, later that same year Ortega starred in X alongside Mia Goth. The movie followed an amateur team of wannabe pornstars who decide to film an adult movie at a rural Texas ranch. But little do they know the ranch’s elderly caretakers are also maniacal killers. The film was a breakout hit and eventually launched a trilogy, being followed by Pearl and MaXXXine

Then, at the end of 2022, Ortega had yet another hit, this time starring as Wednesday Addams in Netflix’s Wednesday. The show is a fresh take on The Addams Family franchise and sees Wednesday arrive at a secluded prep school in New England after being expelled from her previous school. The series was a huge hit, becoming the most-watched show in Netflix history, and solidified Ortega as a Scream Queen and as a leading actress. The show also brought back Christina Ricci, who originally played Wednesday in the ‘90s Addams Family movies.

Most recently, Ortega has joined another iconic franchise, starring as Winona Ryder’s daughter in the Beetlejuice sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. The movie yet again shows off Ortega’s love of the creepy and the spooky, and it became a huge hit, grossing over $451 million at the box office.
