6 Characters Who Could Be Doom's Latverian Witches in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
Avengers: Doomsday (2026) is coming, and we still have no idea what to expect from the Marvel Cinematic Universe's next big event film. But one thing San Diego Comic-Con told us was that Doom would have at least three Latverian witches at his side.
Each witch had a different color, such as green, purple, and a reddish orange. We don't know who is behind the masks, but their introduction has created multiple theories over who it could be. From witches who mastered chaos magic to sorcerers who cheated death, we have compiled a list of the most likely faces that could be Doom's Latverian witches—though none would likely ever answer to Doom without their own agenda.
Death
First appearing in Agatha All Along (2024), Death is exactly who you think she is. The first Green Witch, she is an unstoppable force of nature who can only be slowed down but never beaten in a fight.
Doom claimed in unreleased footage that Hell bowed to him, and if that statement holds water, the forces of life and death likely mean little to him. Death could be working with Doom as a green Latverian witch because, let's be real, she would never be his subordinate.
Agatha Harkness
Agatha Harkness was a powerful witch and a master of dark magic through the Darkhold who first appeared in WandaVision (2021). She siphoned the magic of other witches to power her own and even stood against the Scarlet Witch.
While she died in Agatha All Along, there's no reason to think another universe wouldn’t have its own Agatha variant. Considering she also took care of Franklin Richards in the comics, it adds to the idea that she could be a purple Latverian witch, caring for the young boy while also opposing the Avengers.
Clea
Clea appeared in an after-credits scene of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), getting Strange to stop an Incursion she started. Unfortunately, that was also the last we saw of her and Strange, for that matter.
Having her be one of the purple Latverian witches not only explains the color of the wardrobe but also that, in fighting an Incursion, she saw Doom's perspective and chose to work with him instead. If so, he would have a powerful magic-user at his side that could even defeat Doctor Strange.
The Ancient One
After her first appearance in Doctor Strange (2016), the shadow of the Ancient One lived on through the lessons she taught to Strange and even the help she provided in Avengers: Endgame (2019). A powerful sorcerer, her understanding of light and dark magic was unmatched.
Being alive in another universe isn't as far-fetched as it would seem, and seeing her in the reddish-orange robes would be an epic surprise. Considering she's one of the best sorcerers out there, no matter the reality, seeing Doom work with her would be a scary and powerful addition.
Sylvie
Sylvie was last seen in the series finale of Loki (2021-2023), finally free from persecution by the TVA and with her whole life ahead of her. But being a Loki variant, it would be easy to see her happiness not lasting that long.
Working with Doom as a green Latverian witch could offer him an ear to the Multiverse. What she knows about the many worlds and how they operate would make her an invaluable asset to his efforts of understanding and likely destroying reality as we know it.
Wanda Maximoff
The most anticipated magical character to ever exist in the MCU, Wanda Maximoff seemingly died in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but fans refuse to believe that. With a red flash, she disappeared at the last minute, and it's possible she was saved by Doom.
She could easily be the witch in the reddish-orange robes or, more interestingly, she could be a green witch. Considering a green witch likely met Franklin at the end of The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025), it's possible her motherly nature made it easy for Franklin to trust her.
