Check out our guide below to see the biggest SAG Award winners and our picks for all the honorable mentions that absolutely deserve to be streamed as well.

The Biggest Winners and Nominees of the 2025 SAG Awards

Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture

WINNER: Conclave

The conflicting and gripping drama Conclave is about selecting the next pope, and it’s loaded with fantastic performances by longtime Hollywood veterans like John Lithgow, Stanley Tucci, and Isabella Rossellini.

HONORABLE MENTION: Anora

Mikey Madison only broke out as a star three years ago when she played the villain in 2022’s Scream, but she’s already proven herself to be one of the most talented leading ladies in Hollywood. But Madison isn’t the only one receiving praise for Anora. Sean Baker and Yura Borisov are also receiving numerous accolades.

~Emilia Pérez~Wicked~A Complete Unknown

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role

WINNER: Timothée Chalamet - A Complete Unknown

Not only was Timothée Chalamet fantastic at portraying Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, but the young star was also actually singing, making Chalamet not just a great actor, but a fantastic musician as well.

HONORABLE MENTION: Daniel Craig - Queer

In Queer, Daniel Craig portrays a fictionalized version of author William S. Burroughs who falls in love with a younger man in Mexico. Craig’s performance was daring yet authentic, adding lots of depth to the latest drama from auteur Luca Guadagnino.

~Colman Domingo - Sing Sing~Ralph Fiennes - Conclave~Adrien Brody - The Brutalist

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role

WINNER: Demi Moore - The Substance

Demi Moore’s performance in The Substance was breathtakingly sad and terrifying, and tackled issues of ageism and sexism. Those themes all being thrown into a horror movie helped turn The Substance into one of the most subversive films of the year.

HONORABLE MENTION: Pamela Anderson - The Last Showgirl

Another daring performance that tackled sexism and ageism was Pamela Anderson’s excellent performance in The Last Showgirl. The role also earned Anderson a Golden Globe nom.

~Cynthia Erivo - Wicked~Karla Sofía Gascón - Emilia Pérez~Mikey Madison - Anora

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role

WINNER: Kieran Culkin - A Real Pain

A Real Pain is a buddy movie and a travel film, all centered around generational trauma. Culkin plays a chaotic but secretly miserable character in the movie, which is both hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time.

HONORABLE MENTION: Jonathan Bailey - Wicked

Fresh off his starring role in Fellow Travelers, Bailey did a complete 180 and helped bring the whimsical, colorful, and musical world of Wicked to life.

~Yura Borisov - Anora~Edward Norton - A Complete Unknown~Jeremy Strong - The Apprentice

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role

WINNER: Zoe Saldaña - Emilia Pérez

Sure, Emilia Pérez might be marred by controversy now, but Saldaña’s performance still deserves praise. Plus, we all love the viral “Yes yes yes!!!!” moment.

HONORABLE MENTION: Jamie Lee Curtis - The Last Showgirl

Jamie Lee Curtis stuns yet again playing an aging cocktail waitress and former showgirl in The Last Showgirl. She’s spicy and sassy, but also vulnerable and very real.

~Danielle Deadwyler - The Piano Lesson~Monica Barbaro - A Complete Unknown~Ariana Grande - Wicked

Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series

WINNER: Shōgun

Shōgun has swooped all the award shows over the last year, and actress Anna Sawai has received nothing but immense praise. Other stars from the series who have been lauded included Cosmo Jarvis and Hiroyuki Sanada.

HONORABLE MENTION: Slow Horses

Gary Oldman has been absolutely fantastic at playing the disheveled head of MI5’s Slough House, but Slow Horses is loaded with other fantastic performances by actors like Hugo Weaving, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Jack Lowden.

~Bridgerton~The Day of the Jackal~The Diplomat

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series

WINNER: Hiroyuki Sanada - Shōgun

Sanada has been acting in films since the 60s, but his role as the Lord of Kanto in Shogun is terrifyingly aggressive and precise, proving that Sanada’s talents are stronger than ever.

HONORABLE MENTION: Gary Oldman - Slow Horses

On top of his SAG nomination, Oldman has also received an Emmy and Golden Globe nomination for his role on Slow Horses, proving what a strong lead he can be…made even better by the show’s talented ensemble cast.

~Tadanobu Asano - Shōgun~Jeff Bridges - The Old Man~Eddie Redmayne - The Day of the Jackal

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series

WINNER: Anna Sawai - Shōgun

Let this sink in… Sawai currently stars in *three* series. On top of Shōgun, she’s also in Pachinko and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, proving that she’s capable of drama, comedy, and action. She’s set to be one of Hollywood’s biggest leading ladies.

HONORABLE MENTION: Kathy Bates - Matlock

Oscar-winner Kathy Bates plays a conniving and scheming attorney in Matlock, showing how multilayered and talented her acting chops truly are. Trust me, this new series is nothing like the original…and I’d argue that Bates’ new take on the role makes it so much more interesting.

~Nicola Coughlan - Bridgerton~Allison Janney - The Diplomat~Keri Russell - The Diplomat

Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series

WINNER: Only Murders in the Building

Not only did the hit trio of Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin return for the latest season of Only Murders in the Building, but this time around they were joined by other stars like Molly Shannon and Eva Longoria.

HONORABLE MENTION: Shrinking

When you have Oscar-nominee Harrison Ford and Jason Segel leading a series, you know it’s bound to be great. But Shrinking has tons of other great performances as well, like Michael Urie and SNL favorite Heidi Gardner.

~Abbott Elementary~The Bear~Hacks

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series

WINNER: Martin Short - Only Murders in the Building

Martin Short plays an overdramatic, washed-up theater director in Only Murders in the Building and his character has tons of laugh-out-loud jokes. Plus, his comedy plays against his costars perfectly.

HONORABLE MENTION: Harrison Ford - Shrinking

Ford’s deadpan style is surprisingly hilarious in Shrinking, so it’s no surprise that he’s become the breakout fan-favorite of the series. If you didn’t know Ford knew how to do humor, you need to check out Shrinking.

~Adam Brody - Nobody Wants This~Ted Danson - A Man on the Inside~Jeremy Allen White - The Bear

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series

WINNER: Jean Smart - Hacks

Jean Smart has won three consecutive Emmys for her role as an older comedian riding the second wind of her career. Smart is phenomenal and hilarious, but also deeply vulnerable, creating a well-rounded character in Hacks that critics can’t get enough of.

HONORABLE MENTION: Quinta Brunson - Abbott Elementary

Nobody captures the hilarity of public schools better than Quinta Brunson, who manages to create deeply smart humor all while giving a witty performance in Abbott Elementary.

~Kristen Bell - Nobody Wants This~Liza Colón-Zayas - The Bear~Ayo Edebiri - The Bear

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series

WINNER: Colin Farrell - The Penguin

Colin Ferrell takes his turn as the iconic DC character and transforms into a grotesque and corrupt villain in The Penguin. Trust me, Farrell creates one of the biggest transformations in TV history, you’ll hardly recognize him.

HONORABLE MENTION: Kevin Kline - Disclaimer

Mystery, scandal, and trauma play against each other in Disclaimer, and it all comes together perfectly thanks to the show’s fantastic cast, including Kevin Kline’s grudge-filled and resentful character.

~Richard Gadd - Baby Reindeer~Andrew Scott - Ripley~Javier Bardem - Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series

WINNER: Jessica Gunning - Baby Reindeer

Jessica Gunning is chaotic and deeply unstable in Baby Reindeer, creating one of the creepiest (and best) performances in Netflix history…plus, it’s all based on a true story.

HONORABLE MENTION: Cate Blanchett - Disclaimer

In Disclaimer, Blanchett gives a standout performance as a mother grieving decades after losing her young son while on holiday (all while trying to keep the truth a secret). Like all things Blanchett does, her performance is flawless.

~Kathy Bates - The Great Lillian Hall~Jodie Foster - True Detective: Night Country~Lily Gladstone - Under the Bridge~Cristin Milioti - The Penguin
