Spider-Man's Most Spectacular Fight Scenes, Ranked

Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) has given us a slew of new and exciting fight scenes with the Wall-Crawler that push the limits of the franchise and also the main character. Nevertheless, they have all earned a place among the best fight scenes in Spider-Man movies.

While many love the train fight from Spider-Man 2 (2004), it also begs the question: What other great fight scenes are in the Spider-Man movies? This list may not have them all, but it does feature some of the most exciting battles that have been on the big screen since 2002.

10. Spider-Man's Fight in the Collider in 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) is a feat of animation as it stands already. But one thing that doesn't get talked about enough is how much fun the fight scenes are, especially the final battle in the collider.

As the various Spider-Man variants try to get back home, they face the Kingpin and his enemies, including Doc Ock. When all hope seems lost, Miles appears, in control of his powers and using moves he learned from his world's Spider-Man. It's a delight to see him confident in his abilities, and it culminates in a great final battle against the Kingpin.

9. The Lizard at School in 'The Amazing Spider-Man'

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) gave us a terrifying version of the Lizard who had already beaten Peter once. But when he appears at school, they are on equal footing. At first, Peter tries not to hurt the villain, but after getting Gwen to safety, they have a drawn-out battle across campus and around an oblivious Stan Lee.

The fight is one of the most kinetic in the series and is the first time we really see Spider-Man cracking jokes against a supervillain. It's everything you could want in a Spider-Man battle, and the effects still hold up over a decade later.

8. Peter Parker vs. the New Goblin in 'Spider-Man 3'

When it comes to emotional weight, no fight in Spider-Man 3 (2007) came close to Peter's battle against Harry as the New Goblin. Charged with his father's serum, Harry finally got revenge for the death of his father by ambushing Peter. 

The fight was brutal, as Peter was caught out of his suit, and it was a perfect mix of Peter's experience and Harry's rage. The fight was short, but director Sam Raimi let the scene breathe as these two friends matched wits in combat, all while Peter tried to keep his engagement ring safe and kept us on our toes.

7. Spider-Man and Electro in Times Square in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'

When Electro introduced himself in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) with powers, it was framed as a hostage situation in Times Square. He was scared, and Spider-Man was trying to help, but all it took was one moment for the would-be villain to snap.

We got to see Peter on the back foot, trying to think faster than electricity, and as he saved civilians, we saw Electro's raw power as he absorbed the electricity in Times Square and let it out in a massive blast. The score added to the tension, and while it's a great villain debut, it would've been an even better finale set piece.

6. The Green Goblin's Final Battle in 'Spider-Man'

We all know that Willem Dafoe was a perfect choice to be the Green Goblin in Spider-Man (2002). But what we forget is just how scary and malicious he was in the film, especially in the finale. He kidnapped May-Jane and held a gondola of women hostage, and even after Peter saved both, he tormented him while holding on to the gondola.

But the final battle in the abandoned building was where this fight shone brightest. We saw Goblin's brutality in combat as he taunted Peter, as well as Spider-Man's ability to take a hit from kicks, punches, and bombs. It's not a pretty fight, but it is one of the franchise's best.

5. Spider-Man vs. The Hand in 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'

Brand New Day was where Peter Parker's powers evolved in ways we never saw, and seeing him take on multiple fully trained ninjas at once was the best way to showcase his strength and control.

Spider-Man hit harder, but he still protected people as he saved a ninja from being impaled by using his organic webbing. He could overpower taser clubs, shatter a katana, and power through Damage Control's web-destroying weapons. Seeing his focus was great during the fight, as well as how he used his webs to trap villains and catapult himself to face the real threat.

4. Hulk vs. Spider-Man in 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'

No one wants to fight the Hulk, and yet that's exactly what Peter had to do in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. After Banner lost control and the Savage Hulk came out, bigger and stronger than ever. Spidey had to use his webs and his mind to subdue the Green Goliath.

Unfortunately, none of this worked, but we did get to see how terrifying the Hulk was in a battle that felt more like a fight for survival. Nevertheless, it showed how nimble Spider-Man was against an enemy he rarely faced, and we got amazing moments as a result.

3. The Spider-Men on the Statue of Liberty in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'

After meeting Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Men in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), they agree to help him cure and send back their multiversal villains with him. What we get is a fun battle of three characters having to learn to work together against villains they're familiar with.

There are spectacular swinging sequences and great uses of the villains' powers, but nothing beats seeing the Spider-Men in action, being agile and never missing a beat. That's why this fight remains in a top three spot.

2. The Condo Fight in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'

As Peter tries to cure the villains from the Multiverse, he is faced with an unseen threat as the Green Goblin persona takes over Norman Osborn. With his rebellious decision, the other villains escape as Peter takes the fight to the Goblin. They turn Happy Hogan's Condo to rubble, and Peter has to actually punch his first villain, only to see him laugh at the hits.

The battle culminates in a final confrontation that leaves Aunt May fatally wounded. While Holland's Spider-Man has had many great fights, what makes this one the best is that the brutality matches the stakes, and Peter has to learn the true cost of what it means to be a hero.

1. Spider-Man and Doc Ock's Train Fight in 'Spider-Man 2'

There's nothing anyone can complain about regarding this fight because it is perfectly executed from start to finish. After Harry learns who Peter is, Peter tells him to reveal Ock's location because he has MJ, and then we cut to him swinging into a clock tower where the fight begins. Both villains fight each other and gravity until the latter has them crashing on top of a train.

The extended cut shows more of the battle, but both versions highlight the fun of seeing Spidey fight a character like Ock and how he has to pay attention to the trains, Ock's arms, and the people the villain puts in jeopardy. It then culminated in Spidey saving the train from falling off a bridge in a sequence that has defined the franchise and showed how tiring being a superhero can be.
