How to Watch All Nosferatu Movies In Order
Robert Eggers’ latest horror Nosferatu is a remake of the 1922 remake of the same name. With gothic visuals and compelling performances by Lily Rose-Depp and Bill Skarsgård, this film marks a new high among all other adaptations of Nosferatu.

You can kick things off with FW Murnau’s 1922 original which plays out as a silent film, a pinnacle in German Expressionist horror. In Shadow of a Vampire, Willem Dafoe plays Max Shrenck as an actual vampire whom director FW Murnau (John Malkovich) casts as the lead in his film (unbeknownst to the rest of his cast). It’s a bizarrely funny and hauntingly shocking exploration of the myth behind Nosferatu.
Interestingly, Dafoe also played the role of a vampire hunter in the latest iteration of Nosferatu.
