Marvel Drops A New 'Avengers: Doomsday' Trailer With A Surprising Twist
Avengers: Doomsday (2026) has brought back a level of hype for the Marvel Cinematic Universe that hasn't been felt since the last Avengers film. Many have assumed this wouldn't be possible, but the excitement surrounding so many characters on the screen again has even the most unlikely brands joining in on the fun.
Recently, a brand-new Avengers: Doomsday trailer hit the internet that reminds us of the threat surrounding Doctor Doom and the Incursion event threatening the Multiverse. But the shocker? Everything is LEGO, and it captures everything you love about the beloved toy brand and the MCU's next outing.
LEGO 'Avengers: Doomsday' Continues A Classic Tradition
LEGO trailers have been a thing for as long as YouTube has been around. There's always been an allure to the LEGO brand, from how fun and adorable the minifigures are to how fun and detailed the sets can be. Even the most horrific movie characters can't avoid the cuteness of LEGO. But Marvel has always been a mainstay.
LEGO Marvel Superheroes is a tentpole brand for LEGO and has been around since Spider-Man (2002) hit theaters. Now, it has grown exponentially, and the new Avengers: Doomsday trailer feels like a full-circle moment. Seeing the trailer recreated brick by brick and frame by frame reminds us of the classic stop-motion trailers fans used to make.
But what makes this trailer so fun, even by embracing the twist that it's all in LEGO, is that it avoids the silliness to offer something even more serious. In a way, it shows just how serious this film will be if even the LEGO versions aren't messing around or tripping over themselves. All while reminding us of a time when LEGO trailers were all the rage on the internet.
LEGO's New Trailer Teases A Lot For Fans Of The Toys

We know very little, at least from the LEGO perspective, of what we can expect from the new sets coming for Avengers: Doomsday. We know that things like the Sentinels will be on the way, but beyond that, the jury is still out on what else is coming. By making this trailer all Lego, it confirms many new things we didn't expect.
Now we can see minifig versions of Cyclops, Gambit, and even Doctor Doom, and that confirms to us some of the many characters that will have a LEGO version at some point. One of the most exciting is Namor, who is sporting his classic blue-and-black outfit from the comics. The only thing we don't know from the trailer is what the sets will be outside of the Sentinels.
There are also subtle, more nerdy details that LEGO fans won't miss, as the continuation of the divisive plastic cape trend that started with the new LEGO Batman sets. This time, Thor is wearing it. For many, this is perfectly fine, but if you grew up with fabric capes on your minifigs, it's a sad thing to see go. Nevertheless, what we see in this Avengers: Doomsday trailer gives the same feeling for LEGO fans as it did for MCU fans: excitement for what we don't see.
LEGO Proves 'Avengers: Doomsday' Is Exactly What The MCU Needed

For years, LEGO has been putting out sets for upcoming Marvel movies, with the most recent being Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026). But because this brand is largely self-sustaining, there's next to no need to advertise it beyond the basic announcement. This LEGO trailer changed that in the best way possible.
Surprising fans with a trailer entirely in LEGO is a reminder that these brands still know how to have fun with their properties. It also reminds us of how rare this is anymore and that desperately needs to change. LEGO proves we can have fun no matter our age, and there's no reason that Marvel characters can't have that level of fun as well.
The hope would be that LEGO does these again in the future and brings back the fun of trailers in LEGO for other films. It would be great to see a LEGO Galactus fight the Fantastic Four or Doctor Doom face the Avengers, and all it took was one trailer to remind us.
