I think this film is coming from an interesting place. We're trying to analyze, to a greater degree, the relationship between people and the systems that govern their interior lives, by way of the physical spaces they traverse, and the way those spaces shape their memories and sensory experiences. I think it’s very much an interpersonal drama, colored by the horror backdrop. But fundamentally it’s about reconciling and coming face to face with the broader systems that elude us in the day to day, that are actually pushing us into these corners to begin with.
