Andrew Fleming’s The Craft celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026. Initially brushed off as just another teen movie, The Craft has managed to stay relevant for three decades.

This is in part down to it being a movie about teenage witches getting revenge on their tormentors, but another key component is the cast. Casting director Pam Dixon certainly excelled herself when she pulled together the brightest of young Hollywood.

Looking back on The Craft now, it is remarkable how many of the cast are still household names, and it is interesting to see which actors became megastars in relation to the roles that they played. In case you’ve forgotten who we’re talking about, here is a round-up of the cast of The Craft and what they are up to now.

Breckin Meyer

As one of the stars of Clueless, upon The Craft’s release, Breckin Meyer was already one of the most famous faces amongst the cast. Despite this, Meyer’s role is almost blink and you’ll miss him. He plays Mitt, one of Chris’ friends, and although he doesn’t get much screen time, his appearance does get everyone reenacting the Leo pointing meme.

Since The Craft, Breckin Meyer has starred in teen comedy Road Trip, both of the critically-mauled Garfield movies, as well as lending his vocals to over 100 episodes of Robot Chicken

Christine Taylor

Christine Taylor in The Craft

Prior to her role as high-school racist Laura Lizzie in The Craft, Christine Taylor played perfect teenager Marcia Brady in The Brady Bunch Movie. The switch from teen dream to foul bully demonstrated great range from Taylor. The actress commits 100% to the part of mean girl and as harsh as it might be, there is something satisfying about seeing Rochelle’s spell work, which made Laura rethink her bigoted opinions.

Three years after making The Craft, she met her now husband Ben Stiller and has built a career appearing alongside him in films such as Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and both Zoolander movies.

Skeet Ulrich

Skeet Ulrich in The Craft

After having very small roles in a handful of projects, The Craft was Skeet Ulrich’s big break. He stars as footballer Chris Hooker, who catches the eye of Sarah. Despite being a terrible stereotypical jock, Chris finds himself the object of affection for both Sarah and Nancy, which leads to a whole lot of problems.

Almost immediately after The Craft, Ulrich starred in Scream, and in doing so became forever known as the Ghostface killer, Billy Loomis. He returned to the role for the fifth and sixth films in the franchise, but during the interim appeared in a range of projects such as As Good as It Gets, and Ride with the Devil, as well as leading cult show Jericho, and appearing in 64 episodes of Riverdale. Most recently Skeet Ulrich has been seen in Five Nights At Freddy’s 2, with him rumoured to also feature in the forthcoming third movie.

Rachel True

Of all of the four main girls in The Craft, Rochelle is easily the nicest. A member of the swim team, all she wants is for her racist classmates to leave her in peace. After gaining her witchy powers she managed to teach her main bully a lesson, but does appear to show remorse for her actions. This juggling of emotions is testament to the acting abilities of Rachel True.

Immediately after The Craft she was scooped up as part of the ensemble in Gregg Araki’s Nowhere, and has been working consistently ever since. You can find her cameoing in Sharknado 2 and Sharknado: Heart of Sharkness (as different characters) and hear her discussing horror through both a queer and black lens in documentaries like Queer For Fear and Horror Noire

Neve Campbell

Neve Campbell in The Craft

Although Breckin Meyer might have been the most famous person going into The Craft, there is no denying that since its release, Neve Campbell has claimed that title. Alongside her co-star Skeet Ulrich, Campbell starred in 1996 horror flick Scream, wherein she played iconic final girl Sidney Prescott. Starring in six of the seven Scream films, Neve Campbell has become synonymous with the character of Sidney, but her work as Bonnie in The Craft is also great.

The character is the ugly duckling of the group and uses her magic to rid herself of disfiguring scars. Her newfound prettiness goes to her head, but it’s fun seeing Neve play a character that doesn’t spend half the film traumatised. Her non-Scream credits include the fantastically cheesy thriller Wild Things, disaster blockbuster Skyscraper, and TV shows House of Cards and The Lincoln Lawyer.

Fairuza Balk

Fairuza Balk in The Craft

While it’s technically Sarah who is the main character in The Craft, Nancy is most people’s favourite character. Played to perfection by Fairuza Balk, Nancy has become the poster child for alt-Goth teens everywhere. Balk has also become so entrenched with The Craft that she even returned (very briefly) for the long-awaited sequel, The Craft: Legacy

Having acted since childhood, most notably appearing in nightmare fuel movie Return to Oz, Balk’s credits beyond The Craft include Almost Famous, The Waterboy, and American History X; all classics in their own ways. More recently, Balk has starred in eight episodes of music industry show Paradise City.

Robin Tunney

Robin Tunney in The Craft

As Sarah, Robin Tunney gave teenage girls someone to aspire to. Strong, level-headed, courageous, and a natural witch to boot, it is easy to see why audiences fell for both her and the movie. After the success of The Craft, Robin Tunney threw herself into movies and featured in the likes of Vertical Limit, Supernova, and Hollywoodland

After nearly a decade working in features, Tunney turned her attention to television and after a long stint on break-out hit Prison Break, signed up for The Mentalist. That show ran for seven seasons and made a household name out of Tunney. Her most recent project to be released is By Design, a quirky indie movie in which Juliette Lewis becomes a chair.
