"What We Hide" puts the importance of compassion and positivity into perspective, because you never know what someone might be hiding. It’s an important story that raises awareness of everything these kids went through in the foster care system and the opioids crisis. At the same time, it’s a beautiful film about the bond between two sisters. The whole concept is about what these girls are hiding as they’re putting on this front, so it’ll make you think about how you truly never know what somebody is going through.

As a fan [of the "Hunger Games" franchise], I’m really excited about how this book mostly takes place in the arena. That’s so fun because we haven’t had a "Hunger Games" movie like that in a while. It’s exciting because I’m a big fan of "The Hunger Games" and I love the movies – so it will be fun to do another.
