What I love about this show, and about Sherlock Holmes in general, is that he’s a bit of a mess. Everything is not in order in his brain. I think that sort of reverence and energy that he brings to it is my favorite thing. In terms of themes, we've got dysfunctional families, his secret past, but for me it’s the messiness of Sherlock and the way he’s unfiltered that's the most fun. I really enjoyed exploring that, and I hope people enjoy watching that too… Sherlock is an oddball, an eccentric character who doesn’t really fit. This was our take on a younger version of this strange character.
