You don’t really get to dig into women’s stories often, particularly friendships that have happened over a long period of time. To be an actress and be able to produce a story like that, about women that are our age, means there is a lived experience there and depth that we can bring to it, which is exciting. Ultimately, one of the things that this show is about is this fun, juicy ride where you never know who is telling the truth and who is betraying who, but where that lands you is that there’s so much power when you have the courage to reveal the truth, and the real intimacy is on the other side of that fear of knowing who you really are.
