British director David Mackenzie has some impressive titles to his name, including the dark, gritty prison drama Starred Up and the gripping neo-western Hell or High Water. His feature debut came way back in 2002 with The Last Great Wilderness. That film was followed by Young Adam in 2003, Asylum in 2005, and his first real breakthrough, Hallam Foe in 2007. His filmography also includes heist movie Fuze, the simmering drama Relay, and historical epic Outlaw King. Mackenzie has worked on a couple of TV shows, too: Under the Banner of Heaven and Homemade.
