Where To Watch Blackpink’s Lisa Before Her ‘Tygo’ Debut
With BLACKPINK just finishing their Deadline World Tour in January 2026, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are keeping busy. And across film and music, they’re working on their flourishing solo careers. For example: Jisoo just starred in Boyfriend on Demand (2026), Jennie is on a global festival tour, Rosé is working on a solo album, and Lisa is working on her second solo album and her feature film debut Tygo (2026).
Lisa in particular is entering a really interesting stage of her career as Tygo is a South Korean action movie within the Extraction universe. And with South Korea being known for having some of the best action movies out there, we’re looking at you The Man from Nowhere (2010) and I Saw the Devil (2010), could we be seeing Lisa throwing it down? We sure hope so!

What Is ‘Tygo’ About?
Tygo is a spin-off film of the Extraction franchise starring Chris Hemsworth. In Extraction (2020) and Extraction 2 (2023), we were introduced to a world of high stakes search-and-rescue missions around the globe. And it was based on the graphic novel Ciudad by Andre Parks, Joe Russo, and Anthony Russo. Tygo is a South Korean spin-off in the same world.
Starring Don Lee, also known as Ma Dong-seok, Tygo tells the story of a child soldier turned mercenary who gets revenge on Korea’s underworld after a mission gone wrong according to Netflix. Lee will play the titular character. Though he rose to international stardom due to his role in Train to Busan (2016), Lee is no stranger to action films. He’s done films like The Outlaws (2017), The Roundup (2022) film series, and The Gangster, the Cop, and the Devil (2019).
He’s joined by Lee Jin-uk, best known for Squid Game (2021) and Sweet Home (2020). And both of them are also joined by Lisa of BLACKPINK, who is making her feature film debut.
Who Does Lisa Play?
At the moment, the only thing that we know about Lisa’s character in Tygo is that she plays a character named Ria. Some reports online claim that she’s a loyal teammate to Lee’s main character Tygo. But that hasn’t been officially confirmed by Netflix. But based on the theme of the movie, and the quote below, it’s easy to theorize that Lisa is going to be getting in on the action as well.
Lisa shared with Netflix that: “I’m so honored to be a part of this project and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such incredible actors. [...] Being in an action film has always been a dream of mine, and for my first movie role to be in such an exciting action film is a dream come true.”
For Tygo, Lisa is also credited under her legal name—Lalisa Manobal.
What Other TV Show or Movie Has Lisa Been in?
When it comes to being on camera, Lisa has credit after credit. But most of them are music videos due to her time as a member of BLACKPINK.
With Tygo being her feature film debut, the only other thing she’s been in when it comes to film and TV is HBO’s The White Lotus (2021). She made her acting debut in Season 3 of the show as Mook. Her character was a wellness mentor at the luxury resort in Thailand. And across 8 episodes, she acted as a ‘manic pixie dream girl’ love interest for security guard Gaitok.
Does Lisa Have Any Other Upcoming Projects?
Lisa is reuniting with The White Lotus executive producer David Bernad for an untitled romantic comedy for Netflix. According to Deadline, it was apparently developed on the set of The White Lotus after Lisa and Bernad bonded over their love of Notting Hill (1999), the romantic comedy starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.
Even though we have zero plot details, we do know that they brought on Kate Silberman to write the film. Silberman wrote the romantic comedy Set It Up (2018) for Netflix. And she also just did the movie Ladies First (2026), which wasn’t a romantic comedy but shows a clear and continued relationship with Netflix. Silberman is also known for writing the coming-of-age hit Booksmart (2019).
