Where You've Seen The Cast Of 'The Boys' Season 5 Before
The Boys Season 5 marks the end of this journey for Butcher, The Boys, and the drama surrounding everything Vought and Homelander. But just because this show is ending doesn’t mean that we can’t take a moment to remember where you’ve seen the cast of The Boys Season 5 before.
From Karl Urban starring as a Roman god of love to Erin Moriarty being on a different side when it comes to superheroes, these actors have impressive filmographies. If anything, once The Boys is done and over with, you’ll have a list of the cast’s other TV shows and movies to tide you over until your next superhero obsession.
Karl Urban as Billy Butcher
Even though Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher on The Boys is his most impressive character yet, there are plenty of films and shows you’ve seen him in before. On the TV side of things, his most memorable roles are in the iconic Xena: Warrior Princess (1995) series. Not only did he play Julius Caesar, but he also left a memorable impression as Cupid, with his striking blonde hair and leather outfit. Did we mention that he had wings?
On the film side of things, Urban played the beloved Bones in Star Trek (2009), Star Trek Into Darkness (2013), and Star Trek Beyond. And who can forget his long, blonde hair as Eomer in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003).
One to watch: If viewers want a villainous version of Urban with a splash of piracy and a questionable beard, they should watch The Bluff (2026).
Jack Quaid as Hugh ‘Hughie’ Campbell
Being the child of actors Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid might’ve opened doors in Hollywood for Jack Quaid, but he’s defined his career all on his own, even outside of The Boys as Hughie. Fans of The Hunger Games have seen him in the 2012 movie adaptation and hate him to this day for what his character Marvel did. He also perfected his comedic timing in the TV series Sasquatch Sketch Comedy in 2014, in over 70 episodes.
What’s most surprising about Quaid is the amount of voice acting he’s done. He’s done roles in movies like Smallfoot (2018), Family Guy (2024), and Solar Opposites (2021). But he’s become a fan favorite in animation with his role as Ensign Brad Boimler in Star Trek: Lower Decks (2020) and as boy scout extraordinaire Clark Kent in My Adventures with Superman (2023).
One to watch: If you want something on the complete opposite spectrum of Hughie’s kindhearted yet courageous nature, viewers should watch the movie Companion (2025).
Antony Starr as Homelander
The villainous Homelander in The Boys isn’t the only time that New Zealand actor Antony Starr has played the bad guy. He went toe-to-toe with Viola Davis in the 2025 movie G20 while sporting a glorious beard. He also played a criminal turned sheriff in the 2013 series Banshee.
But Starr’s most memorable role, besides Homelander, is actually two. In 2005, he starred in the series Outrageous Fortune as two characters, twins Jethro and Van West. And despite them being brothers, they couldn’t be more different. Jethro is the stressed and cynical lawyer, while Van West is the kindhearted fool. This performance saw Starr win a 2005 Best Actor in a TV Drama at the Qantas Television Awards.
One to watch: If you want to see more of Starr’s nominee-worthy films, check out the 2010 drama After the Waterfall.
Erin Moriarty as Annie January/Starlight
The Boys isn’t the first time that Erin Moriarty has been involved in superhero drama. Before playing the super-powered Starlight, she played Hope Shlottman in Jessica Jones. It’s a memorable role not only because she was the hero, but also because she was in the middle of the battle between hero Jessica Jones and villain Kilgrave.
Outside of superhero business, Moriarty has done some comedy, like The Studio (2025) and Pillow Talk (2017). She’s also done some drama, like the acclaimed series True Detective (2014) and Law & Order: SVU (1999). On the movie side of things, she was a volleyball player honoring a teammate in The Miracle Season (2018) and starred in the eccentric comedy Captain Fantastic (2016) alongside Viggo Mortensen.
One to watch: If viewers want a little drama, criminal husbands, and separations, they should check out Catching Dust (2023).
Laz Alonso as Marvin T. ‘Mother’s Milk’ Milk/M.M.
The Boys isn’t the first time that Laz Alonso has played a character who is highly intelligent and combat-ready like Mother’s Milk. In Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025), he played warrior Tsu’tey, and in 2023, he played Terry in My Dad the Bounty Hunter.
When Alonso isn’t being a warrior, he’s being a detective. He’s played one multiple times, including in Power Book II: Ghost (2020), Southland (2010), and Captivity (2007). He’s also been in all sorts of procedurals, including Bones (2005), L.A.’s Finest (2019), NCIS (2004), and even CSI: Miami.
One to watch: If you’re looking for some rom-com vibes with a dash of drama, check out his movie Jumping the Broom (2011).
Tomer Capone as Frenchie
Tomer Capone’s Frenchie might be this Israeli actor’s most memorable role to date. But he’s done plenty of other work, some of it award-winning. One Week and a Day (2016), in particular, got him a Best Supporting Win from the Israeli Film Academy for his role as Zooler, the comedic relief of this movie.
When it comes to TV, Capone has done shows like Charlie Golf One (2016), One on One (2020), and Save the Date (2024). But his longest-running series was the 2017 show Fullmoon, where he played Idan Perri.
One to watch: If viewers want to take a little trip to space and question reality, they should watch Slingshot (2024).
Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko Miyashiro
Karen Fukuhara is by far the most interesting actor on The Boys. While her character, Kimiko, remains mostly mute during the series, Fukuhara is also a really talented voice actor. She is most recognized for her work in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018), where she plays Glimmer, the Princess of Bright Moon. Then, she followed it up by playing the lead, Kipo, in Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts (2020).
That’s not all when it comes to her voice acting. Most recently, Fukuhara played Sam Nishimura in the animated Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft (2024) series, F in Star Wars: Visions (2021), and several voices in Craig of the Creek (2018).
