10 Spider-Man Movies & TV Shows Coming In 2026 & 2027
Debuting in 1963 and only growing in cultural stature over time, Spider-Man has become one of the definitive figures of modern media. The Marvel hero has been reimagined plenty of times across comics, games, movies, and TV, with a number of cinematic takes proving to be a major box-office draw in the 21st century. That’s set to continue in the next few years, with animated and live-action renditions of the character set to appear on the big screen.
Some of the new Spider-Man stories will bring back new fan-favorite versions of the character, while others could completely reinvent how he is presented. The different takes will highlight all the ways Peter Parker and Miles Morales work on grounded levels and on a blockbuster scale. Before we get into all the confirmed titles you can definitely look forward to, there are also a few titles that are yet to be confirmed.
Spider-Punk (TBA)
Building off of the character’s breakout appearance in Across the Spider-Verse, Spider-Punk is currently set to get his own film. Played by Daniel Kaluuya, Spider-Punk is the chaotic and anti-authority rebel of the Spider-Verse heroes. Quickly connecting with Miles Morales, Spider-Punk quickly set himself up as a genuine wild card among the Wall-Crawlers.
The announcement noted that the film will reportedly be animated, likely mimicking the distinct art style of the character in the Spider-Verse movies and potentially exploring more of the characters introduced in Marvel’s Spider-Punk comics. With the film only in early development, it’s unknown when it’ll hit theaters, though a teaser at the conclusion of Beyond the Spider-Verse would go a long way toward setting up the direction of the film.
Spider-Woman (TBA)
Two proposed Spider-Woman films have been in the works at various points, including an animated spin-off focusing on Gwen and Jessica Drew after Beyond the Spider-Verse. The other one was a live-action story directed by Olivia Wilde. However, it seems that the failure of Madame Web (2024) at the box office may have killed momentum behind that one, given its attempt to introduce a lot of different versions of Spider-Woman all at once.
Wilde’s live-action version was reportedly scrapped amid a Sony restructure in early 2026. Still, there’s a chance that Beyond the Spider-Verse lands with such success that Sony jumpstarts production, or even gets excitement swirling once again around Wilde’s take on the material.
Hopefully we'll receive some Spider-Punk and Spider-Woman news in the coming months, but there's defintely no shortage of Spidey titles that are definitely on their way! Here is every Spider-Man movie and TV show coming in 2026 and 2027.
Building off the character introduced in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) with a new take on the concept, Spider-Noir is a throwback mystery starring Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, a soldier in the 1930s who finds himself with amazing abilities. Using the powers in his work as a detective, noir-take on the character pulls just as much from classic films like The Maltese Falcon (1941) as it does from any previous version of the Wall-Crawler.
Cage reprises his role from the animated shows, alongside similar period-appropriate takes on Robbie Robertson, Black Cat, and Sandman. Spider-Noir looks like an exciting experiment of how superhero stories can be presented on-screen and will even be available with a black-and-white edition when it premieres on MGM+ (May 25th) and Prime Video (May 27th).
The next entry of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s take on Peter Parker, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, brings back Tom Holland’s version of the character for a fresh adventure. After the world forgets about him in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), Brand New Day sees Peter struggling with his place in the world without a support system and as his powers seemingly begin to mutate.
The film brings back plenty of familiar faces, while also featuring Stranger Things (2016) star Sadie Sink in a mysterious role many believe to be the MCU’s next big step toward the X-Men. The film is already shaping up to be a hit, with cameos from Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, and the Hand, who appeared in the early seasons of Daredevil (2015), all further solidifying the film as a major cog in the greater MCU. Hopefully, Brand New Day can match the hype when it arrives in theaters.
The next major chapter in the MCU to involve all of the various corners of the universe, Avengers: Doomsday, will bring Spider-Man into the action. Similar to Avengers: Infinity War (2019), Doomsday seemingly sets the stage for a franchise-wide threat like Doctor Doom. Given the setup of films like Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness (2022), Thunderbolts* (2025), and Fantastic 4: First Steps (2025), the danger will be massive in scale and could threaten the destruction of countless worlds.
Peter Parker was confirmed for the film in the lengthy teaser for the entire extended cast, although his full role in the story is still unconfirmed at the time of writing. Avengers: Doomsday is currently set to hit the big screen on December 18, 2026, making it a perfect pairing along with Dune: Part Three (2026).
The long-awaited conclusion to the animated Miles Morales story, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, has to meet some very big expectations. Building off the events of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), Beyond the Spider-Verse is set to be a massive dimension-hopping battle that follows Miles Morales and his allies from across the multiverse as they try to bring down the Spot to keep the multiverse from collapsing, all while dealing with the newly introduced villainous variant of Miles.
With the Oscar-winning first film breaking new boundaries for animation, the second film managed to up the stakes and creativity in some shockingly effective ways. While expectations are high, the creatives behind Beyond the Spider-Verse have earned the benefit of the doubt. We’ll find out for sure when Beyond the Spider-Verse hits theaters on June 18, 2027.
The sequel to Doomsday and the conclusion of the current multiverse-heavy phase of the MCU, Avengers: Secret Wars will likely be one of the biggest superhero stories to hit the big screen. With the plot to Doomsday still a secret, it’s hard to tell what could be going on in the subsequent film. However, given the precedent set by Avengers: Endgame (2019), it’ll likely focus on a handful of surviving heroes as they seek to undo the damage wrought by a big bad, most likely Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom.
Given the comic that this film is apparently adapting, Spider-Man could end up being a major player in the story. Currently set for a December 17, 2027, release date, Avengers: Secret Wars will be a major game-changer for the superhero franchise (and the genre as a whole).
As a Disney Jr. take on Spider-Man, Spidey and His Amazing Friends is a preschool favorite that has already had plenty of episodes. It follows young versions of Peter, Gwen, and Miles as they help people around the city, alongside other kid-friendly takes on various superheroes like Black Panther and the Hulk.
Far from the most complex take on the material, but perfectly attuned to younger audiences, Spidey and His Amazing Friends is currently airing its fourth season at the time of writing and has been confirmed for at least two more seasons. That’s on top of the spin-off Iron Man and His Awesome Friends (2025), which is creating an entire toddler-friendly take on the Marvel Universe.
The follow-up season to Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man could go in many directions. The show, which reimagines a new take on a teenage Peter Parker, had a lot of fun messing with typically established lore to pair off Peter Parker with new friends, like the magical Nico, and set up a more personal and tragic adaptation of the classic villain Tombstone.
Season 2 is also expected to lean more heavily into Coleman Domingo’s Norman Osborn on the inevitable path toward making him the Green Goblin. Although there’s no confirmed date for the show’s return yet, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has already been green-lit for at least three seasons, meaning the second season will likely use a cliffhanger as well.
Spinning out of the events of What If…? (2021), Marvel Zombies is the most gruesome version of the superheroes to hit film or TV screens so far. The animated show focuses on a world where the zombie virus spreads across the Marvel heroes, corrupting many of them into cannibalistic monsters with superpowers. Spider-Man is among the few survivors, playing an important role in the original What If…? episode that introduced the concept before playing a vital role in the sequel series.
Season 2 is currently in production, with no release date set. However, it’s important to note that while he was in dire straits when last seen in Marvel Zombies, the Peter Parker of that world was still alive—and will likely appear in the follow-up season in some capacity.
