Spider-Man fans are having a great 2026, with a new trailer showcasing Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) and the upcoming Prime Video series, Spider-Noir (2026), starring Nicolas Cage. The series follows a private eye named Ben Reilly using his spider powers to take the fight to dangerous crime lords in 1930s New York City.

Spider-Noir’s new take on the classic characters opens the door to many new perspectives, and this includes its villains. That said, here are some of the new villains that the Spider will be facing when the series drops on May 25th.

1. Silvermane

Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) will be playing the underrated crime boss, Silvermane. In the cartoon and comics, he was an older crime boss focused on maintaining his youth and facing-off against Kingpin, but in Spider-Noir, he’s more focused on power as he’s the premier threat in New York City.

Gleeson has always been a great actor with immense range, but this series will see him take on a much more serious character. As such, fans of Gangs of New York (2002) will likely enjoy seeing him embody a new type of crime boss.

2. Tombstone

Abraham Popoola (Cruella) will be playing a new version of Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone, a character who transforms to have impenetrable skin that’s pale white, while his face looks like a skull. However, in Spider-Noir, he’s still strong with unbreakable skin, just with scarring on his face.

This version of the character is looking to start anew in the criminal underworld as he trades blows with the Spider, but fans of Popoola’s acting will surely like seeing how an otherwise soft-spoken actor plays a hardened criminal like Tombstone.

3. Sandman

Jack Huston will play Flint Marko/Sandman. A classic Spider-Man villain, this iteration is the right-hand man to Silvermane and can turn his body into sand at will. So far, the only thing shown was him punching Ben Reilly off a skyscraper with a sand fist and also absorbing bullets shot at him.

Sandman works best as an enforcer-type character, and having Huston play him is a perfect fit. He’s had experience in this very role as Richard Harrow in Boardwalk Empire. Fans of that character will surely get something similar in Spider-Noir.

4. Megawatt

Dirk Leydon/Megawatt is an underrated character in the Marvel Comics mythos, and many believed that Andrew Lewis Caldwell would play the more popular Electro instead. That said, both characters are heavily electricity-based, which makes for some visually impressive fight sequences.

Caldwell recently starred in The Matrix Resurrections (2021), but this marks his first time in a comic book project. As such, audiences can look forward to something new from the actor that will celebrate his skill and range.

5. Jimmy Addison

Played by Jack Mikesell, Jimmy Addison is an entirely new and original character in Spider-Noir. That said, his pyrokinetic abilities aren’t unlike those of another Spider-Man villain, Molten Man. In fact, many thought that’s who this character was upon first viewing.

Unfortunately, there’s not a lot known about the character or the actor at the time of writing, but he’s clearly one of the more powerful villains in the series. The mystery alone is enough to reel in audiences, and the payoff will surely be a blast.

Ben Reilly, an aging and down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York, is forced to grapple with his past life as the city's one and only superhero.
