Every Henry Cavill Movie & TV Show Coming In 2026/2027
After taking a break in 2025 after the release of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (2024) and Argylle (2024), it feels like Henry Cavill is going full steam into 2026 and 2027 with multiple movies and a rumored TV show.
To help fans out, we’ve compiled a list of every Henry Cavill movie and TV show coming in 2026 and 2027. Whether you’re a fan of sequels, remakes, or original storytelling, there’s a little something for everyone!
In the Grey sees Cavill reunite with director Guy Ritchie. This is their third time working together after The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015) and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. This time, the movie is about a covert team of elite operatives living in the shadows. When a billion-dollar fortune gets stolen, they’re tasked with retrieving it.
Cavill will play a disciplined operative named Sid alongside Jake Gyllenhaal’s Bronco and Eiza González’ Sophia. The original movie is an action drama with a heist at the center, with strategy, deception, and survival being the goal after things turn deadly.
In the Grey premieres in theaters on May 15, 2026.
Enola Holmes 3 sees Cavill return as Sherlock Holmes in the highly anticipated sequel to Enola Holmes (2020) and Enola Holmes 2 (2022). Unlike other movies or TV shows on this list, Cavill is not the lead of this film series. That title belongs to Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Detective Enola Holmes, aka Sherlock’s younger sister.
In Enola Holmes 3, Enola heads to Malta, where her aspirations merge in her most complex and dangerous case yet. Also, it seems like her relationship with Tewkesbury is ready for the next stage, which can only mean marriage. At the moment, we don’t know what role Sherlock will play in this mystery.
Enola Holmes 3 premieres July 1, 2026, on Netflix.
Warhammer 40,000 is a passion project of Cavill’s that he’s producing with Amazon Studios and also starring in. After trying to bring it to life for years, he confirmed in December 2024 that it was finally moving forward with a TV show adaptation. Even better, if you’re a fan like Cavill who has spent countless hours creating your infantry, there are also movies in the works.
So what is the TV show going to be about? That’s a complicated question, as the tabletop wargame has games, books, video games, and more to draw from. But, at its core, Warhammer 40,000 is a science fiction universe set 38,000+ years in the future that follows humanity as they struggle to survive aliens, mutants, and the forces of Chaos.
At the time of writing, there is no information about who Cavill will play or a release date.
Like Warhammer 40,000, we don’t know much about the live-action adaptation of Voltron.
However, Cavill is starring alongside Sterling K. Brown, Alba Baptista, Tim Griffin, and Rita Ora in unknown roles. We also know that Amazon Studios won the bidding war to release the film, and it has finished filming, but we don’t know when the movie will be released.
What we do know is that Voltron is based on the animated television series franchise of the same name. It features a team of space explorers who pilot a giant robot named “Voltron.” The Voltron (1984) series we know today was adapted from two Japanese anime series titled Beast King GoLion (1981) and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV (1982). Its most recent adaptation was the 2016 series Voltron: Legendary Defender (2016).
Like other movies on this list, The Rosie Project is based on an existing IP. But this time around, it’s based on a book. Written by Graeme Simsion in 2013, The Rosie Project is a romance about an awkward genetics professor who’s convinced he’s not wired for romance. After a colleague makes a comment about how he’d make a great husband, he goes on a quest to find a wife. Luck would have it that someone who doesn’t fit his “requirements” might be the perfect woman.
The movie is set to follow the same premise with Cavill as the lead, Don Tillman. The Rosie Project is described as “an unlucky-in-love university professor creates an elaborate questionnaire in an effort to find a wife and meets an unconventional woman who doesn’t match any of his ‘requirements,’ but might be the perfect woman for him.”
At the time of writing, The Rosie Project does not have a release date.
The Highlander reboot sees Cavill become part of another franchise that he’s been a fan of in the same vein as Warhammer 40,000.
The OG Highlander (1986) movie stars Christopher Lambert as Connor MacLeod, the 500-year-old Scottish swordsman confronting the last of his immortal opponents in New York City. Now, Cavill will be stepping into Lambert’s shoes as Connor MacLeod, and the plot seems to follow a similar arc, with Cavill playing “an immortal Scottish swordsman” who faces off with other immortal warriors to obtain a coveted ability.
At the time of writing, Highlander does not have a release date.
Besides In the Grey, Broadsword is the only other original movie in Cavill’s upcoming filmography. It is a wartime film about a Marine sergeant who crash-lands in WWII France. As the only survivor of his mission, he embarks on a journey across dangerous landscapes to reach Allied territory. If that wasn’t complicated enough, he meets a brave local girl who helps him make the trek.
Like Enola Holmes 3, Cavill isn’t the lead of this film. That role goes to Tom Cruise, who’s worked with director Christopher McQuarrie eight times on other films like Top Gun: Maverick (2022) and Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (2025).
At the time of writing, there is no information as to who Cavill will play or when the film will be released.
