Every 'Has Fallen' Movie & TV Show In Order
When Olympus Has Fallen (2013) hit theaters, no one could've suspected the universe that would come of it and the impact it would have on the action movie franchise. Nevertheless, what came from it was a new standard that has continued to grow into an unexpected franchise.
With a fourth film on the way titled Night Has Fallen, it's unclear if this marks the end of the franchise, but with more TV shows under its belt, it could also be a new beginning with even more ideas coming. But no matter what, there's a lot worth watching in this bombastic and outlandish world.
Olympus Has Fallen introduces us to Secret Service agent Mike Banning as he fights to protect the president after a North Korean terrorist group seizes the White House. While we have seen Gerard Butler in other action films like 300 (2007), this role has really become a staple of his filmography, and with good reason.
Olympus Has Fallen has brutal fights and some epic, action-packed moments that are hard to forget. The wildest part is that it didn't seem like the start of a franchise, and yet it was exactly the start it needed.
It seemed hard to see how Mike Banning would have to return to the brutal life of saving world leaders in ways literally no one ever has, but London Has Fallen gave us the perfect excuse. When Islamic terrorists take over London, killing multiple world leaders and kidnapping the US president, Banning has to take the fight to them.
In terms of scale, London Has Fallen has taken new heights that the series never reached again, and with good reason. It's easily the most ambitious of the franchise, but being that it's the only one of this scale, it manages to stand out as a gem of an action movie with the action of the first and a greater scope.
For as ambitious as London Has Fallen was, Angel Has Fallen dials things back in terms of narrative to give viewers a deeper look at its main hero. The film frames Mike Banning as the attempted assassin of the President of the United States, and as he tries to clear his name, he also has to outrun the authorities.
Angel Has Fallen is the film that kept the franchise alive, and while it's the last film so far, it also feels like a fresh start for the character. We don't know what's next for Mike Banning, but this film sets an even higher bar than what we've seen before.
Paris Has Fallen is the first TV series in the franchise and follows Protection Service member Vincent Taleb, who is assigned to protect the French Defense Minister. When an ex-soldier attacks the Defense Minister, it's up to Taleb to stop the attackers and save the day.
Paris Has Fallen brings an episodic look at a now decade-old franchise. It works well, though it's still imperfect, and it gives us a new lead worth enjoying. The success of the series also created a brand new spin-off with the same cast.

Apollo Has Fallen
Apollo Has Fallen is a sequel series to Paris Has Fallen and sees Taleb with Europe as the center of a deadly virus threat. We don't know much else other than the series should be released this year.
The Has Fallen series has delivered some great action and greater surprises. The story isn't over yet, but this new series shows that the best is yet to come, with more characters on the way.
