Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 just ended with a massive bang that will send ripples through the street-level arena of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and beyond. But with its ending, there are even more shocking revelations that are slowly building.

Whether it be a new team of Avengers or unforeseen futures for beloved characters of past shows, there’s a lot of potential for what could happen after Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. With fans more than ready to see what the Disney+ series has in store for them, here are some of our best guesses.

Did Marvel Just Tease The Mighty Avengers?

Mike Colter as Luke Cage

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2’s finale saw the return of Mike Colter as Luke Cage, reuniting with Jessica Jones and their daughter, Danielle, after a tour of duty overseas with Mr. Charles. Not only was this long overdue, but it could also tease greater things for the duo.

In the comics, when The Avengers reformed, they had many more street-level characters involved, and that included Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Spider-Man, and Iron Fist. With street-level heroes having a larger focus in the MCU, including the addition of White Tiger, it could be time to see The Mighty Avengers as an answer to Val’s “New” Avengers.

Alias Investigations Could Transform Into Heroes For Hire

With Luke’s return, Daredevil: Born Again also teased on the door of Jessica’s apartment that Alias Investigations was back in business. While this is very likely to last, it could also lead to further growth of Heroes for Hire.

In the comics, Luke Cage and Iron Fist operated Heroes for Hire as a way to help people in the community, and it’s something fans have wanted since their respective shows were announced. Now, with both characters back in the MCU, it’s the perfect chance to capitalize and give fans even more of what they want.

Are The Dark Avengers Coming To The MCU?

Matthew Lillard as Mr. Charles in Thunderbolts

Speaking of Val’s New Avengers, a choice in Thunderbolts* (2025) left many, both in and out of canon, frustrated. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 ended with Mr. Charles taking Bullseye as a replacement for Luke Cage as his soldier. On the side of Bullseye, he sees himself more as a hero, even if he’s simply a cold-blooded killer.

These two elements together tease the idea of Mr. Charles utilizing Bullseye in a “hero” capacity, perhaps to one day build his own team of Dark Avengers. In the comics, this involved Norman Osborn taking the Thunderbolts, putting Avengers costumes on them, and selling the brand to the world, with Bullseye taking the Hawkeye mantle. Since Kate Bishop never officially came out as Hawkeye, and Clint Barton is retired, this possibility is more open than ever.

A New Villain (With A Familiar Face) Will Rise In ‘Daredevil’ Season 3

Heather Glenn in Daredevil: Born Again

One of the biggest shockers to come out of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2’s finale was the mental collapse of Heather Glenn and her donning the mask of Muse. Now with set pics of her dressed as Lady Muse from the comics, it’s a new era for the character.

Of course, if she wants to be as twisted as her predecessor, she will have to make some big moves, and knowing that Matt Murdock is Daredevil, hurting him could be the sweetest revenge for her. As a result, this could lead to the potential death of Karen Page or others closest to him, unless someone can protect those he loves while he’s in prison.

Will Season 3 Introduce A New Daredevil?

Matt Murdock as Daredevil in Born Again

As mentioned, Matt Murdock is in prison in a surprise twist I never saw coming, even as a longtime fan of the character and the show. Nevertheless, he now has to answer for his crimes, and with that, there’s no one to protect Hell’s Kitchen.

As set pics have shown the return of Finn Jones as Iron Fist, it’s possible Season 3 could take a page out of the comics and make Danny Rand a temporary Daredevil. Or, even better, Elektra could finally return and adopt the identity just as she did under similar circumstances in Chip Zdarsky’s Daredevil comic run.

Teasing the Watcher Could Lead to Bigger Implications

The Watcher in What If...?

Prior to the pivotal moment when Vanessa Fisk technically died, a confirmed tease of What If’s the Watcher appeared in the shattered glass of Fogwell’s Gym. Given that Vanessa Fisk’s death has always been a Canon Event, it makes sense that he was there to witness it.

However, the Watcher being there could also be to see the beginning of the end of the Matt Murdock fans know and love. Though there are no confirmed ties at the moment, the Hand is indeed returning in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026). With that, we could be seeing the Watcher observing the start of Matt’s turn to the Beast, the spiritual leader of the Hand and a deadly demon, leading to the Shadowland event, where he is the villain.

Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
