Cate Blanchett is one of the most accomplished actresses ever with a wide filmography that spans three decades. To date, she has been awarded two Oscars and four Golden Globes, and has been nominated for a total of eight Oscars and 12 Golden Globes. But she’s much more than just an award show darling. In the film, Blanchett portrayed the queen and was joined in the cast by other notable actors like Geoffrey Rush, Richard Attenborough, and Daniel Craig in one of his first major roles. Elizabeth was well-received by both critics and audiences and went on to be nominated for seven Oscars. Blanchett even won a Golden Globe for her role. In 2007, the film received an equally popular sequel with Elizabeth: The Golden Age, which earned Blanchett more Oscar and Golden Globe nominations.
