All Zendaya Movies Coming In 2026 & 2027

While The Drama starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson is causing numerous debates for the controversial topics it covers, the movie is not only performing well, but both actors deserve plenty of praise for their work. The A24 film compellingly follows a couple before their wedding and deep dives into the messy parts of their past as it forces them to question whether they really know each other.

Zendaya's range is so incredible that I can sound like a broken record saying she does something significantly different in everything she touches. Something raw, real, and indefinable, even when the work leaves you feeling uneasy. The Drama might not be for everyone, but if you love dark romances with complex characters, then it'll be right up your alley.

Christopher Nolan's adaptation of Homer's The Odyssey isn't just one of the most anticipated Zendaya movies of the year, but it's my most anticipated movie of 2026. As someone who had to read the novel for school, I can appreciate the depth that it conveys, but it's not something I ever wanted to revisit until Nolan announced he was bringing it to life.

Because really, there's no director out there who could ensure that the entire journey feels engaging and profound. The movie will also see both Tom Holland and Zendaya reunite after a Spider-Man project, so that's also thrilling on top of all the other incredible cast members that are sure to make the story something we'll be talking about all summer. If you love Greek mythology, you don't want to miss this one. Plus, Zendaya as Athena? Is there anything more jaw-droppingly perfect than that casting? 

Finally, after five years, Zendaya will return as MJ in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and I, for one, can't wait. It's going to be so exciting and thoroughly rewarding to see a completely different side of her because what we get in the trailers alone holds so much weight to the experiences the character has likely had since all memories of Spider-Man and Peter were wiped from her mind.

Brand New Day is going to be huge as a film, not only as a Marvel property, but genuinely because of how many more fans this version of Spider-Man has because of a star like Zendaya as MJ. What she brings to the character is profoundly layered, different than anything we've seen before, and so raw that she's easily one of the reasons these movies stick out in the franchise. 

After Brand New Day, Zendaya will also return as Chani in Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part III this year, reprising yet another fan favorite role that people likely appreciate more because of her. While the Dune franchise has a great number of fans from the book series, there's no denying that a lot of people also gave them a chance because of Zendaya's casting in them. 

And even though there's a large ensemble cast throughout, the actress always ensures that every scene she's in is not only outstanding but packed with a depth that fans can analyze and cling to. She conveys so much through her expressions in these films, that I can't wait to see how many more layers she continues to add in the third installment. If you love Star Wars, but have yet to try Dune (2021), now is your chance before the third movie’s December release. 

As a longtime fan of the Shrek movies, learning that Zendaya will star in Shrek 5 as Fiona and Shrek's daughter, Felicia, is everything to me. The DreamWorks movies are some of the best animated features we've consistently had advancements in, and knowing that there will be more is particularly exciting when we also factor in how incredible she'll be with voice work.

Zendaya has done voice work before in Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021), so fans of her work there know that she's capable of delivering even when we don't see her in front of the camera. There isn't too much information on Shrek 5 yet, but considering how iconic and entertaining the movies prior have been, it's the one animated movie we can look forward to most in 2027.
