All Of Chris Hansen's TV Shows In Order
Any fan of investigative television knows about the many incredible feats of Chris Hansen, an investigative reporter who has made it his career to catch child predators in sting operations. Now, his work is being explored in the Robert Pattinson film Primetime (2026), which hits theaters on September 25, 2026.
But as Hansen himself has mentioned, the film doesn't have his input and may not capture everything that he has accomplished in his career. Thankfully, there are more than a few other great shows worth checking out to see all that Hansen has accomplished in his decades of work. Here how to watch every Chris Hansen show in order of release date.
Dateline NBC's To Catch a Predator was where Hansen hit the living rooms of millions of viewers with his to-the-point work in setting up child predators with an undercover sting operation. Working with the local police, Hansen would have one person chats with the predator, another to serve as a stand-in for the meetup, and finally Hansen would confront and question the criminal.
When it was all said and done, there were many people arrested thanks to Hansen's sting operations, and it is the reason why we know the phrase "Why don't you have a seat?" To Catch a Predator put Hansen on the map, but it was far from his final effort to explore crime in all its forms and bring those deserving to justice, even amid the many scandals that came with it.
Following the end of To Catch a Predator, Hansen explored other types of true crime in his series Killer Instinct With Chris Hansen. Each episode saw Hansen deconstruct terrible crimes, like murder, and speak with the family and police who were tied to the case to explore every detail and come to a new conclusion.
Killer Instinct introduces a deeper look at investigative journalism and allows us to better understand the process of a police investigation. But thanks to Hansen's level of reporting, we also see what happens when someone digs deeper than most into a case.
Crime Watch Daily, which later added "with Chris Hansen" to the title, opened the door for him to revisit the idea of catching child predators. Hansen Vs Predators was the segment that did just that. Using a similar structure to To Catch a Predator, Chris Hansen would continue his mission to catch child predators.
Continuing to question the logic and motive of these criminals, Hansen Vs Predators serves as yet another effort to keep these people from talking to children while also trying to understand why they do it. The success of the series continues to prove that it never needs to change its formula to be interesting to audiences, so long as justice is the result.
Takedown with Chris Hansen gave us another series of Chris Hansen facing predators, but with Takedown, we got to see the deeper work he does with the police force and a new structure. Now, we not only see how the police communicate with and set up a sting, but we also see them catching predators in various locations and being spoken to while in custody.
Sometimes, and possibly one of the best parts of Takedown, is that we get to see the charges some of these criminals get, and the best part is that it headlines a streaming service headed by Hansen titled TruBlu. Not only is every episode digestible, ranging from 7 to 17 minutes, but we will also see an ad for it and the streaming service before seeing Primetime in theaters, as Hansen bought the ad space.
