Academy Award nominee (and future winner because I will be manifesting this) Emily Blunt has another booked and busy schedule with a variety of movies lined up for the next two years. We've even got some announcements without confirmation dates or with very little information, so the number could also grow any day now. Blunt's inimitable range ensures that whatever property she's in is made better by her presence, allowing the movie or show to stand out in a way that's especially unique for her.

From The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026) to the return of Evelyn Abbott in A Quiet Place III (2027), here are the Emily Blunt movies coming in 2026 and 2027, as well as why they're worth adding to your watch lists.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is already out, and it's everything I could've hoped for and more. It's not just a stylish sequel with all our favorite original characters returning, but it's a cautionary account of the horrors taking place in the journalism industry and why our voices matter, now more than ever. Blunt not only steps into Emily Charlton's shoes as though she never stepped out, but she imbues her with layers that are entirely admirable.

There was ample room to make the character come out of the situation she was in through a one-dimensional approach, but with Blunt's performances and the thoughtful writing, her arc is not only compelling but thoroughly profound. If you're hesitant with sequels, make no mistake—The Devil Wears Prada 2 isn't one to skip, but rather an example of how to make a brilliant comeback.

Disclosure Day

Steven Spielberg, Emily Blunt, and Josh O'Connor? Yes, please. Disclosure Day is a movie made specifically for me. Secrets, aliens, and the directorial style that we know will floor us? Everything about Disclosure Day feels like it'll be something we'll find ourselves flocking to social media for in order to talk about every minute of it.

We haven't had a Spielberg-directed movie since The Fabelmans (2022), so it's going to be even more interesting to see him come back for something more in the sci-fi realm again. With undeniably stunning special effects and the actors at the forefront, everything about Disclosure Day feels promising as a summer blockbuster film.

A Quiet Place (2018)  is one of my all-time favorite horror movies and something I firmly believe Emily Blunt should've won more awards for, so it shouldn't be shocking that there's excitement over us finally getting A Quiet Place III. We have very little news about it other than the fact that production begins soon, with John Krasinski back in the director's seat and Cillian Murphy returning alongside Blunt.

After watching the two of them in A Quiet Place II (2021) and later Oppenheimer (2023), it's going to be so riveting to see how much more familiar their performances are. There's something really gripping about actors who work alongside each other in different projects, and this is a detail that often makes these films as gorgeously character-driven as much as they're genuinely scary horrors.

Emily Blunt is collecting all the best directors like infinity stones, with the confirmation that she'll also be in Martin Scorsese's Untitled Hawaii-Set Crime Drama. The film is also set to star Leonardo DiCaprio and Dwayne Johnson, another frequent co-star of Blunt's from Jungle Cruise (2021) and The Smashing Machine (2025) earlier last year.

According to IMDb, the official synopsis reads, "In 1970s Hawaii, a local crime boss rises to power while battling to protect his ancestral lands, leading to an epic conflict that transforms the island's underworld and cultural landscape." Scorsese's expertise lies in location-specific crime stories, so no matter what comes from this, we know we're in for a wild, remarkably acted and directed ride.

Based on the short stories by Claire Keegan, Walk the Blue Fields is supposed to be some kind of romance that features a love triangle. The official synopsis reads, "On her wedding day, a woman faces an agonizing choice when a past love triangle risks exposure." Though the trope can be tricky to nail down sometimes, something tells me Blunt's role in this will ensure the depiction is nuanced.

John Crowley will be directing the film with the screenplay from Tony-nominated playwright Conor McPherson. Emily Blunt in a romance is something I'll always take, and if Andrew Scott is supposed to be in this movie, too, then we know we're in for something thoroughly gripping. We don't yet have news about when this film will be released.
