After five seasons, seven years, and countless bloody, brutal deaths, The Boys has finally come to an end, leaving a Supe-shaped hole in our lives.

Eric Kripke put together an uncannily spot-on satire of our current global political climate with his uber-violent superhero series. The Prime Video show delivered laughs, shocks, and even the odd emotional moment along the way.

A lot of credit has to go to The Boys cast members, who delivered complex and compelling characters to either root for or despise. Now those characters are gone, but let’s see what the brilliant actors behind them are up to next.

Karl Urban

the boys karl urban as billy butcher

Even before taking on the role of Billy Butcher in The Boys, Australian actor Karl Urban has always been booked and busy. He just starred in the action movie sequel Mortal Kombat II, which is a follow-up to the 2021 adaptation of the classic video game. It’s a bombastic, rather tongue-in-cheek popcorn flick which packs a punch and features crazy fight choreography.

Urban has just one future project lined up at the moment, and it’s a very different vibe. Using a mix of animation and fantasy, I, Object tells the story of a lonely young boy grieving the loss of his father. Urban will be joined by Anna Faris and Jermaine Clement in this film, which is written and directed by Andrew Niccol, whose credits include The Truman Show, Gattaca, and The Terminal.

Jack Quaid

Jack Quaid as Hughie in The Boys

Jack Quaid has arguably been the breakout star of The Boys. His role as Hughie Campbell proved he can be the endearing, warm leading man while also giving him the chance to flex his comedic chops and let his wild side out now and again. He’s been great in films like Novocaine and Companion in 2025, and his future is looking bright.

His next outing is a comedy movie, Close Personal Friends, directed by Jason Orley, who previously helmed the Prime Video rom-com I Want You Back. The new film stars Quaid and Brie Larson, as well as Lily Collins and Henry Golding. It’s a story of two couples, one famous, one not so famous, who become close friends after they meet in Santa Barbara.

Antony Starr

the boys anthony starr as homelander

After instilling fear into us all as Homelander, it will be pretty hard to see Antony Starr as anyone else after The Boys finale. He’s shown how great he can be at playing two sides of the coin as a homicidal supervillain and a national hero, so we know he’s got the talent to pull off any role he’s given next.

Speaking of which, you’ll see Starr in a biopic called Samo Lives, about artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, who made waves in the 1980s through his bold Neo-expressionist work. That film is directed by Julius Onah, who previously helmed The Cloverfield Paradox and Captain America: Brave New World. It’s currently in post-production and will also star Kathryn Newton, Jeffrey Wright, and Dane DeHaan.

Starr is also filming a couple of episodes of the TV show Breakers, where he plays a charismatic but mysterious figure who befriends a couple of backpackers in Australia.

Erin Moriarty

the boys erin moriaty as starlight

Annie January, also known as Starlight, was quite literally the shining light of The Boys, her crusade against Homelander inspiring young girls across America to be true heroes. She’s naturally been pretty busy with The Boys and its spin-off, Gen V, in the past couple of years, but she has one exciting project outside of those on the way, too.

The Haunting in Wicker Park sees Moriarty step into the horror realm, with a look back at the first televised exorcism on NBC in 1971. Moriarty will star alongside Stranger Things breakout Jamie Campbell Bower (Vecna) as Marsha and Ed Becker, the husband and wife who claimed their house was haunted. Let’s just say the Beckers did not see their situation improve after the cameras stopped rolling…

Laz Alonso

the boys laz alonso as mother's milk

Despite playing Mother’s Milk since the beginning of The Boys, Laz Alonso still found time to pop up in Avatar: Fire and Ash in 2025, as well as Guy Ritchie’s action-adventure movie, Fountain of Youth. Now, he’s on to pastures new, and he has one movie in the works that he’s currently filming at the moment.

Don’t Ever Wonder is an upcoming film written by Kay Oyegun and Eugene Ashe, with the latter on directorial duties. There are no plot details for this one at the moment, but we know it’s a drama and that it’ll also feature the likes of Nia Long, Dennis Haysbert, and Blair Underwood.

Chace Crawford

the boys chace crawford as the deep

We already knew all about Chace Crawford before The Boys, thanks to his role as Nate Archibald in Gossip Girl. But it seems his work on the superhero series has really put him back in the spotlight, as he has four projects in the pipeline right now.

He’ll play new character Baker Buchanan in the crime-comedy franchise, Super Troopers 3, later this year. It’ll be interesting to see how he integrates into the dynamic there. Crawford is also shooting for the new TV show The Land, which is billed as a multi-generational family drama about the NFL.

He will star as one of three main characters in Billy Magnussen’s directorial debut, The Ridge, a comedy movie about a bachelor party gone wrong, which is in pre-production right now, and he’s just wrapped on Strobe, a thriller movie which was previously a short film.

Tomer Capone

the boys tomer capone as frenchie

Sadly, Tomer Capone’s Frenchie didn’t quite make it to The Boys finale (though he did appear in a vision to Kimiko). He was taken out by Homelander in the penultimate episode, but his sacrifice was all worth it as it protected the love of his life and helped her gain the powers needed to take on the crazed villain.

Next up for Capone is a Treasure Island remake for the small screen. He’ll feature alongside the likes of Hayley Atwell, David Oyelowo, and Jack Huston in the retelling of the classic Robert Louis Stevenson novel. Filming is complete, and the show is currently in post-production.

Karen Fukuhara

the boys karen fukuhara as kimiko

Karen Fukuhara took Kimiko on quite the journey. Starting as a mute savage who attacked anyone who dared to come close to her, she ended up as a sweet, layered character who cared deeply about others and, in the end, was formidable enough to face off against Homelander and come out the other side.

She has one project on her slate at the moment, a new TV show called The Rookie: North, which is a spin-off of the highly popular drama series The Rookie. Like the original, this upcoming series is all about new police officers looking to prove their worth. It’s expected to air in January 2027.
