The Boys, Euphoria and 8 Other Series Ending in 2026
All good things must come to an end, and that’s certainly true of most TV shows. Unfortunately, some end far sooner than we’d like, while others get the privilege of ending on their own terms and bringing their stories full circle.
In 2025, behemoths like Stranger Things and Yellowstone finished for good, as well as popular shows such as Andor, The Handmaid’s Tale, and Cobra Kai. This year, like any other, will see more huge series wrapping up for good, too.
Here, we run down the 10 most high-profile shows that we’ll have to say farewell to in 2026, whether we like it or not.
What a wild ride The Boys has been so far, and we’re sure Season 5 will be just as chaotic and crude as always – if not more so! The battle between the Supes and the Boys has produced some incredible plot twists and gnarly deaths along the way, and we expect The Boys Season 5 to deliver a satisfyingly comic-accurate ending.
The timing of this show is incredible, really, given it always seems to reflect what’s going on in the real world with each passing season – the similarities between The Boys and the political climate in the US are uncanny. But it’ll all end very soon, with episodes airing on Prime Video from early April through to the end of May.
We’ve had to wait a really long time for Euphoria Season 3 to make it to the small screen, but it’s finally here. With development delays and most of the cast getting far too famous over the past few years, it’s quite surprising that the show is back at all, but we’re very glad it is.
This intense drama series covers some pretty heavy themes, including sex, drugs, violence, blackmail, betrayal, and death. There are just eight more episodes to go before Rue and the gang part ways forever, and while we’ll be sad to see them go, it really does feel right to call it a day at this point. Check it out via HBO Max on Now TV or Prime Video, and remember these key details about Euphoria before you jump into Season 3.
Outlander fans have been spoiled with 12 years and eight seasons of this sumptuous period drama, and they’re fortunate enough to see the central love story come to a rightful conclusion this year. The Fraser clan have endured some terrible lows during their time-travelling journey, but there have also been plenty of nice moments to celebrate, too.
The stars of Outlander teased that there’ll be tears when the finale arrives, and we don’t doubt that at all. When you immerse yourself in the world of these characters for so long, it’s difficult to even consider that they won’t be around anymore. By May 8, that’s something we will all have to come to terms with.
A lot has happened over the last eight years for All American, with stars leaving, returning, and leaving again. One thing has always remained the same: this show packs in so much drama and sporting action into every single episode.
NFL is hugely popular, both in America and now here in the UK, so it’s not surprising that this show has gained such a devoted following. It’s basically a soap opera but set in the world of American football – what’s not to love? There’s no firm date set for the eighth and final season of All American, but it’s widely expected to drop this year.
It’s a sad year for teen dramas in 2026, with Outer Banks another to be added to the list of shows coming to an end this year. In many ways, it’s a similar situation to Euphoria, in that key members of the cast are simply too famous now, with both Madelyn Cline and Drew Starkey going on to bigger and better things.
Still, this Netflix series will be sorely missed. It’s a wonderful mix of high-stakes adventure and classic character-driven drama, with a delightful ensemble bringing it all to life. There’s no release date for Season 5 just yet, but it’ll arrive later this year.
When Yellowjackets first came onto the scene in 2021, it was one of the hottest TV shows in town. Admittedly, the hype has faded since then, but it’s still a devilishly dark and engrossing psychological horror series that is ideal for fans of shows like Lost and From.
The show straddles two timelines, allowing the production to bring in impressive actors like Christina Ricci, Melanie Lynskey, Ella Purnell, and Sophie Thatcher. There’s only so much story left to tell now, however, and while it’s not clear exactly when Yellowjackets will return, we do know the fourth and final season will air in 2026.
It’s been three years since the last episode of Good Omens, and plans for Season 3 have shifted massively over that time, largely due to allegations against creator Neil Gaiman (as per Deadline). This means we will only get one epic, 90-minute episode to tie things up for Crowley and Aziraphale.
That finale arrives on Prime Video on May 13, in which Azraphale and Crowley will team up to prepare for the Second Coming. It’s such a shame this show has to end prematurely, particularly as David Tennant and Michael Sheen appear to have so much fun making it. Once it’s over, if you want something just as playful and elaborate that sits within the same realm of angels and demons, you should check out Hazbin Hotel, which is also on Prime Video.
This is the show I’m most gutted is leaving our screens this year. Although given how stressful it is to watch The Bear, maybe it’s for the best. While the show is famous for its intense one-take sequences amid the chaos of the kitchen, there are also plenty of heartfelt moments that allow the characters and the audience to breathe and take stock.
It’s a brilliant series that gives us endearing yet flawed characters we can root for, and it will be really sad to say goodbye to them all. We’ve had a new season of The Bear every summer so far, and it’s safe to assume the fifth and final season will air on Disney+ around the same time again this year.
Taylor Sheridan shows come and go at an incredible frequency. The cowboy king has three new projects launching this year, but as those doors open, another one closes, and Mayor of Kingstown is the latest to fall by the wayside. But fear not, it’s all part of the plan, and it’s said the show is coming to a natural conclusion rather than being forced out.
You can catch it all unfold on Paramount Plus in just eight episodes as opposed to the usual 10, but we’re sure it’ll be just as gritty and intense as always. Jeremy Renner has been superb over the last five years in his role in this show, and he’ll want to make sure he goes out with a bang.
Something a little different here as we move away from narrative series to focus on one of the most popular talk shows, and one that’ll be leaving the airwaves in 2026 after 11 years. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has produced riveting conversations with the biggest stars in the world, but we’ll have to find other avenues for that kind of entertainment now.
Unfortunately, this one is a case of something being cancelled rather than naturally ending, with executives citing the financial difficulty of keeping a late-night show like this alive as the main reason for pulling the plug (as per The New York Times). Colbert is working on a new Lord of the Rings movie, so at least he’ll be keeping busy once his show ends.
