Every Jackass Movie & Show In Order (Including The Ones You Haven't Seen)

Of all of the Jackass crew, Steve-O is the one who appeared to have the least fear of death. Throughout the show and the subsequent movies, the performer was never afraid to push himself and his body to the limit. In fact, a lot of the time, the stunts that Steve-O would happily volunteer for were so extreme that they couldn’t be aired on MTV, and so the Don’t Try This at Home videos were born. 

A collection of extreme stunts, fans couldn’t get enough of Steve-O’s antics, with the Jackass star going on to tour the world performing several of them live on stage. 

After the Jackass series ended came the first film, Jackass: The Movie. Featuring stunts that couldn’t be aired on television alongside brand new adventures, the film was an instant success, drawing in a whole new audience that had missed the original show. 

Pranks include ‘Party Boy’ Christ Pontius frolicking around the general public in nothing but a thong and a cowboy hat, and the big finale finds Ryan Dunn getting an X-ray revealing a toy car in his anus. 

After the demise of Jackass, all of the performers split off in their own directions. Johnny Knoxville went the Hollywood acting route, most notably appearing in Walking Tall, A Dirty Shame, and Lords of Dogtown. Skateboarding prankster Bam Margera got the CKY gang back together and directed Haggard: The Movie. The premise finds Ryan Dunn’s character draft in his weird and wacky friends to uncover whether his girlfriend is cheating on him or not. 

Full of slapstick and gross-out comedy, Haggard is a must-see for Jackass fans. 

While Knoxville went to Hollywood, and CKY continued making their own content, Chris Pontius and Steve-O combined forces to front the MTV show Wildboyz. Part nature documentary, part prank show, the duo travelled the globe, interacting with the local people and wildlife. 

As well as learning about how different cultures lived, the pair would also get up close and personal with the indigenous animals, often with eye-wincing, but hilarious results. One example is the time they decided it was a smart idea to dress as zebras to entice nearby lions. 

After work on Haggard was completed, Bam Margera returned to MTV for his own The Osbournes-style reality show, Viva La Bam. Starring Bam, his parents, and his uncle, each episode saw Margera finding new ways to torment his family members. The Osbournes might have had swearing and dog poo everywhere, but in Viva La Bam, anarchy reigned supreme. 

Poor Phil and April Margera had to suffer all kinds of horrors, including an alligator in the kitchen, being woken up at all times of the day, and repeatedly having whole sections of their house destroyed. A highlight of the show is the ‘Prank Wars’ episode, when Johnny Knoxville arrived and declared war on Bam.  

Previously viewed as Bam Margera’s right-hand man, in 2005, Ryan Dunn stepped out alone to front the MTV makeover show, Homewrecker. If the presence of Dunn and the title didn’t make it clear enough, Homewrecker was not the typical makeover show. Rather than creating a beautiful new home or decorating a place perfectly, the premise of Homewrecker was to trash the places of people who had wronged their friends. 

The format saw a ‘victim’ recount their story to Dunn, who would then trail the perpetrator looking for inspiration as to how to get back at them… before proceeding to wreck their place. 

Having been apart for four years, the Jackass clan reunited for another movie. Bigger and badder than its predecessor, as demonstrated by Knoxville taking a ride on a rocket, Jackass Number 2 proved the team still had an imagination for chaos. 

Other memorable moments include snake-phobic Bam Margera trapped in a trailer with a King Cobra, Steve-O being cast off of a hook into shark-infested waters, and Wee Man being electrocuted by a stool. 

Of all of the Jackass crew, Bam Margera was the most prolific when it came to spin-off shows. After Viva La Bam ended, the skater returned to the channel for a reality show, Bam’s Unholy Union, which documented his upcoming nuptials to his first wife, Missy Rothstein. 

Far less chaotic than anything Margera had done before, the show relied on the typical stress and anxiety caused by the planning of a wedding.
